The Adventures of Captain Caffeine and Pasadoro
The Adventures of Captain Caffeine and Pasadoro
a long overdure post...
Anyway, after having a decent sleep, i was able to regain most of the brain cells i lost during the tragic 24 hour endurance test i just had.
it was almost a waste of time and money. still, it was fun. i was glad i came because i got to meet a very interesting bunch of people.
after getting tired of pretending to be interested in the games and all the egg-grilling craposity of the world- Sydnel invited me to join the ultimate caffeine frenzy.
at first it was kind of awkward-
hello, kemuel and rachel.
hello, pj and miriam.
now, hello syd and jobi.
great.
hello thales?
zut alors. it's enough torture that i'm the lone mammoth and worse, the lone ptosh in the bunch. then i realized, oops- maybe i went to the wrong affair - lovapalooza.
nah. but it was merely "clean" fun. we talked of inventing our own superheroes over cups of instant coffee and instant noodles (with weird flavors such as bulalloid!)
after hours of insanity...my system finally broke down and resulted to the following memorable lines like...
"i'm dying in the sand!"
"what's my name? magical voices- where are you??"
now, don't ask me why I said those silly things.
someday, maybe we'll get rich from all the silly stuff we planned.
i'm glad i went. i learned something not exactly scientific, but something essential. there would always be a need for us to break away from our comfort zones. if we always thrive on security, we would grow weak. worse, we may not grow at all. we need to learn to embrace our differences, after all in many ways we are the same.
and just look at the Chinese- later on, they realized Sinocentrism was not a very good idea.
