dance and be happy (and gay)!
Last Wednesday, my good friend Carlo and I went to the gym to watch Jhek's first ever dance recital in UP.
Wow.
at may tickets pala ito. skechers pa ang sponsor. winner! It was soooo much fun. We stood at the sidelines, waiting nervously for Jhek's modern jazz performance.
Carlo: Do you have a camera or video cam?
Me: Ay shit! I forgot! Camera phone lang dala ko.. Lowbatt pa! Darn!Wow! Stage parents ito.
Anyway, we were so proud to see Jhek dance. Galing talaga! Too bad he didn't have a solo part. And too bad he's so tall now, cos he was always at the back. Never the less, he did really well.
Bading na bading!Just kidding. You know I love you, Jhek. Hahaha.
For the best part, I'm sure all my friends who were there would agree that it was during a performance of the UP Filipiniana when two male dancers kissed.
Bliss.
And all the while I was crushing on one of the male dancers. I don't know if I am thrilled or crushed.
On the way home, I asked Janica and Jhek, "Why is it that all the guys I like are rumored to be gay, presently and/or previously linked to gay guys or worse, known to be openly gay?"
Jhek, being the smart BS Math major that he is (as if this matters) said matter-of-factly, "Kasi all these years, you were wishing for a hot, gay friend. See, God is very generous. Ayan, you got more than what you wished for."
Talaga lang.Should I be affected? Ever since I came to UP I have evolved into a gay rights advocate, much to the surprise of well, no one.
Lukaret ka naman talaga. After seeing Brokeback Mountain, I have come to realize (naks! epiphany ito!) that Love transcends whatever limitations we try to set.
I always tell my friends, they are lucky because I love them. I am not a very nice person, but I try to be loving. That's why I don't care if you are straight, gay or inanimate.
I don't even care if you're an asparagus.
I'm just asking you to
try to be happy for me.
Haaay.. Kasi naman, Lance Bass why did you do that to me????!!!
